The 29 August 2007 meeting was held at the office of L-3 Communications. A discussion of developing documents in S1000D™ format with a focus on breaking information down into meaningful data modules was presented by Ken Waringa. Thanks to the meeting coordinator, Linda Caron.
The 11 July 2007 meeting was held at the office of EDO Corporation. Group members participated in a WebEX meeting to discuss and review the upcoming Arbortext S1000D™ tool set software. Thanks to the meeting coordinator, George Haas.
The 13 June 2007 meeting was held at the office of General Dynamics Information Technology. Ken Waringa presented an overview of his findings while attending the S1000D™ User Forum held in Melbourne, Australia, and the Joint Services S1000D™ conference held in Clearwater, Florida. In addition, Steve Moldenhauer from XyEnterprise demonstrated the Contenta database. Thanks to the meeting coordinator, Corrie Gann.
The 21 March 2007 meeting was held at the office of General Dynamics Information Technology. Ken Waringa provided an explanation of "NSWC PC and S1000D™" and lead a group discussion about moving legacy publications into the Contenta database. The S1000D™ User's Group PC's first meeting was held 31 January 2007 at Triple J's Restaurant on Panama City Beach. This was our initial meeting, with over 30 attendees! The User's Group was officially established as a means to exchange information about S1000D™ and its application in developing documentation for the U.S. Navy.
